Luthers Taufkirche

 The church of St. Peter and Paul, the church where Martin Luther was baptized, is to be found close to his birthplace. Martin Luther was baptized here on 11 November 1483. The remains of the original baptismal font can still be seen. It is a gothic hall church with two altars from the beginning of the 16th century and interesting tomb paintings from an old cemetery of the 16th century.
