The Church of St. Anne was consecrated in 1516. Due to the influence of Martin Luther it was the first protestant church to be built in the region of Mansfeld. Of outstanding interest is the "stone bible" , 20 pictures in stone depicting scenes from the bible. This was carved expressly for the miners who were unable to read the bible at this time. Beside the church can be found the former Augustine monastery.
